The birth of Honeybee Ministries Iowa (HBMI): In 2014, after seven years of trauma and time spent in the “belly of the whale,” Melissa left her job as a public school teacher and responded to a life-long call to ministry. This call includes "EQUIPPING saints for Kingdom service," EVANGELIZING by "taking" twelve south-central Iowa cities for God, and EMPOWERING Believers to "go ye," via the following ministry strategies: writing; teaching at retreats, workshops, & seminars; teaching Bible and Christian education classes; SHAPE mentoring meetings; prayer ministry; music ministry; children's ministry; worship services; community service projects.
Melissa says, “I am God’s ‘gift’ to the Body of Christ, not because I am anything special in my own right but because He created me for full-time Kingdom service. God 'gifts' the Body with people in Office/Ministry roles and anoints them to carry out His call. I function like an enzyme . . . a catalyst who, under the anointing of Holy Spirit, breaks down the tough stuff in the Word in order to feed and nourish the Body. As God’s Honeybee, my Heart is to help you "Dive Into Your Destiny" as you IDENTIFY who God is and who you are in Him. I use my God-given Abilities and Spiritual Gifts to EDIFY Believers and GLORIFY God. My Waternana Personality and unique Experiences in life SHAPE me for ministry at "such a time as this," (Esther 4:14).
Melissa lives in the Midwest--the heart of the Heartland. She delights in serving her family as well as the Body of Christ.
